Introduce
Shimen Mountain (also known as Louse Mountain) is 384 meters above sea level and was used as a military base in the early days. The first half of the trail has been added to the Aboriginal Reservation, and the second half of the trail is a forested area under the jurisdiction of the Pingtung Forestry Administration of the Forestry Bureau, which is a forested area. Along the Shimen Mountain trail, the trail is shaded, and in the White Banyan Valley, you can see the columns of the white banyan's aerial roots, which creates the spectacular scene of a "forest of one tree. It takes about half an hour to walk from the trailhead to the viewing platform, and about an hour to reach the summit trig point. The 200 meters near the summit are very steep and almost a climb. Along the trail, you can enjoy the scenery of Shimen Village and Sichongxi River, and from April to July every year, wild peonies are in full bloom, making the scenery beautiful and pleasant.

Take Pingtung Bus 301 from Hengchun or Checheng Junior High School. Get off at Shimenpu Station. Please note that there are not many trips, so please check the schedule before boarding. After getting off, continue walking for 500 meters to the Shihmen Historical Battlefield parking lot at 29.9K. The trailhead is located inside the parking lot.

1.Provincial Hwy 26 (Pingtung- Eluanbi Highway→Checheng→turn left on County Hwy 199 and go through Sichongxi River→Mudan Township→arrive at the Shihmen Historical Battlefield parking lot at 29.9K. The other way is from Shouka on
2.Provincial Hwy 9→turn south on County Hwy 199→Dongyuan Village→Mudan Township→arrive at the Shihmen Historical Battlefield parking lot at 29.9K. The hiking trailhead is located inside the parking lot.
