The West Gate is located at the northern entrance of Hengchun Old Street. The city wall encircles the Hengchun Old Street area, and the West Gate is situated on the old street of Zhongshan Road, with nearby attractions such as the Guangning Palace and the Monkey Hole Mountain Historical Monument Park, etc. The West Gate was also one of the famous filming scenes in the movie "Cape No. 7," and the "Ajia's Home" is situated in the middle of the old street of Hengchun, on Zhongshan Road, between the West Gate and the South Gate.
The West Gate is the smallest of the four gates, and was once a commercial area, so the two sides of the road were covered with buildings, resulting in only the battlements and the doorway remaining, which is very miniature.

● Public Transportation
1. Kaohsiung Railway Station,  Kaohsiung International Airport →Take the Kenting Express (operated by Pingtung Bus, and Kaohsiung Bus) or Zhongnan Bus or Kuo-Kuang Bus to Hengchun Station.
2. From Kaohsiung Railway Station and take Kuo-Kuang Bus (toward Hengchun) or Pingtung Bus to Hengchun Station.

● Self-Driving
Get off National Highway 1 at Xiaogang Interchange (or get off National Hwy 3 at Linbian Interchange) →Provincial Hwy 17 → Shuidiliao → Provincial Hwy 1 (follow the signs along the road) → Fangliao → Fenggang → Provincial Hwy 26 → Checheng → Hengchun
